ABOUT NYERERENATIONAL PARK (SELOUS GAME RESERVE)

 

The Selous game reserve is Unesco world heritage site, Its largest wildlife area in Africa, Recently name Nyerere national park and the biggest national park in Africa, It’s among of Africa national parks for the largest Population of Lion, Crocodile and Hippo. Also its home of endanger and rarely animals like Africa hunting dogs (wild dogs) Red colobus monkey and sable antelope, commonly activities Boat safari, Walking safari, Game view animals to spot Lion, Crocodile, Hippo, Elephant, buffalo, Impala, Water buck, Zebra, Giraffes, Cheetah, Eland, Kudu, wild dogs, Hyena, Monkey, Duiker, Reedbuck, Oryx, Topi, Wildebeest, Hartebeest, Jackal, The bird life prolific 400 special and many others animal. The Rufiji River and its tributaries Kilombero and Luwegu River together cover the greatest catchment area in East Africa, linked to the Rufiji River is the Lake Tagalala its long grassland may get chance to see Sable antelope, Lake Manze which is home of Lion, Lake Nzelekela its home of Hyena, Hippo and Crocodile, Lake Mzizimia home of Elephant and Waterbuck.

 

RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

Ruaha national park is one of the few Tanzania’s famous wilderness area where one can have a rare experience of game viewing spiced up by the fascinating landscape park is rich of plants and animals such as Greater Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros) which cannot be found in any other national park. The park boasts of her almost untouched and unexplored ecosystem, with large number of lion pride and elephant making visitors’ safari experience very unique

 

UDZUNGWA NATIONAL PARK

The major attraction of the park is bio-diversity and unique rainforest where many rare plants, not found elsewhere in world, have been identified .these range from a tiny  African violet to 30metre high trees its home over eleven types of primates five of these are unique to udzugwa including of endangered  Iringa red colobus monkey and sanje crested mangabey ,also its have unique waterfalls over 270m high and at the base you may swimming in nature swimming pool activities hiking in rainforest mountain 3hrs ,swimming in nature pool under the waterfalls Learning about different trees and users

 

SAFARI ITINERARY

DAY 1: DAR ES SALAAM TO SELOUS AND BOAT SAFARI (4-5HRS)

Pick up at 0700am hours to your Hotel in Dar (or from airport please advise) and start drive to Selous game reserve this trip takes about 5 to 6 hours to arrive at you accommodation place will be checked in at your accommodation around 0400 hrs you will start Boat safari Rufiji River animal to see hippos very close, Crocodiles and many water birds and other animals around River bank.

DAY 2: SELOUS GAME VIEW AND DRIVE TO MOROGORO

Start early breakfast at 0600hrs pick up lunch box drive to mtemere gate your guide he will checked in while you have photo around the gate then start your wildlife view, late 0900hrs your will have picnic stop for coffer while you looking hippo and other animal around Lake Nzelekela then after your proceed with game view up afternoon around 0100 hrs you will have another picnic stop for lunch then continues with game driver around 0300hrs start drive to Morogoro

DAY 3: MOROGORO TO RUAHA PARK SUNSET GAME DRIVE

Breakfast at 0630 then start drive to Iringa pass to Mikumi (enoute game view) then stop at iringa after 4hrs drive for Lunch at Neema Craft then after driver to Ruaha park it will take 3hrs to arrival at Ruaha national park checked in and start game view up sunset arrival to your accommodation inside the park for dinner.

DAY 4: FULL DAY RUAHA PARK AND DRIVE TO IRINGA

Early morning of this day at 0600 you will leave for sunrise game drives which will go on till around 09:00 hours where by your will have breakfast and after breakfast pick up lunch box then proceed with game view at 0130 stop to the picnic for lunchbox and start another game view till 0300hrs you will drive to Iringa at your accommodation arrival for dinner.

DAY 5: ISMILA STONE AGE IRINGA & MAASAI TOUR AT MIKUMI 6HRS

Early morning after breakfast pick up the lunch box and start drive to Ismila Stone Age for short historical of Stone Age spent 2 hr then after start drive to Mikumi you will stop for lunch box after lunch drive continues and arrival for Masai tour at Mikumi Maasai boma spent 2hrs for historical of maasai and you will enjoy tradition dance then after drive 1hr 3o min to Udzungwa arrival for dinner

DAY 6: HIKING UDZUNGWA THEN TRANSFER TO DAR ES SALAAM

Early morning after breakfast take your lunch box and drive to Udzungwa gate for registration and your guide explain about the attration of Udzugwa Mountain then after drive to the starting point 15 min from the gate and start hiking with fruits and drinks hiking slowly while you learning from you guide about trees and nature see all attraction up view point for drink see the waterfalls 270 m then you keep going to the base of waterfalls for nature swing pool spent a time and enjoy are nature swing pool after you will have your lunch box at the great view of sugarcane farm  after lunch star slowly go down it take 1 hrs and then start drive back to Dare es Salaam.

 

Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam you will be taken to your hotel/ residence and that will be the end of your 6 days safari with Kumekucha Africa Tour & safaris.
