ABOUT NYERERENATIONAL PARK (SELOUS GAME RESERVE)

The Selous game reserve is Unesco world heritage site, Its largest wildlife area in Africa, Recently name Nyerere national park and the biggest national park in Africa, It’s among of Africa national parks for the largest Population of Lion, Crocodile and Hippo. Also its home of endanger and rarely animals like Africa hunting dogs (wild dogs) Red colobus monkey and sable antelope, commonly activities Boat safari, Walking safari, Game view animals to spot Lion, Crocodile, Hippo, Elephant, buffalo, Impala, Water buck, Zebra, Giraffes, Cheetah, Eland, Kudu, wild dogs, Hyena, Monkey, Duiker, Reedbuck, Oryx, Topi, Wildebeest, Hartebeest, Jackal, The bird life prolific 400 special and many others animal. The Rufiji River and its tributaries Kilombero and Luwegu River together cover the greatest catchment area in East Africa, linked to the Rufiji River is the Lake Tagalala its long grassland may get chance to see Sable antelope, Lake Manze which is home of Lion, Lake Nzelekela its home of Hyena, Hippo and Crocodile, Lake Mzizimia home of Elephant and Waterbuck.

 

RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

Ruaha national park is one of the few Tanzania’s famous wilderness area where one can have a rare experience of game viewing spiced up by the fascinating landscape park is rich of plants and animals such as Greater Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros) which cannot be found in any other national park. The park boasts of her almost untouched and unexplored ecosystem, with large number of lion

MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

The most popular in southern Tanzania park with major attraction of great savannah and tree climb lion, elephant may be encountered and other animal like leopard, civet, genet, warthogs, eland ,reedbuck ,zebra ,giraffes, wildebeest, impala ,hippo ,jackal ,mongoose, hyena, crocodiles ,waterbuck, monkeys , monitor lizard ,giant python over 400 of birds have been observed

 

SAFARI ITINERARY

DAY 1: DAR ES SALAAM TO SELOUS AND BOAT SAFARI (4-5HRS)

Pick up at 0700am hours to your Hotel in Dar es salaam (or from airport please advise) and start drive to Selous game reserve this trip takes about 4 to 5 hours to arrive at you accommodation place will be checked in at your accommodation around 0400 hrs you will start Boat safari Rufiji River animal to see hippos very close, Crocodiles and many water birds and other animals around River bank.

DAY 2: SELOUS GAME VIEW AND DRIVE TO MOROGORO

Start early breakfast at 0600hrs pick up lunch box drive to Mtemere gate your guide he will checked in while you have photo around the gate then start your wildlife view, late 0900hrs your will have picnic stop for coffer while you looking hippo and other animal around Lake Nzelekela then after your proceed with game view up afternoon around 0100 hrs you will have another picnic stop for lunch then continues with game driver around 0300hrs start drive to Morogoro

DAY 3: DRIVE TO RUAHA PARK SUNSET VIEW & ISMILA STONE AGE

Breakfast at 0630 then start drive to Iringa pass to Mikumi (enoute game view) then stop at Ismila stone age Iringa after 4hrs drive have short explanation about stone age see the tools and pillars it take 2hrs then drive to Iringa Town for Lunch at Neema Craft then after driver to Ruaha park it will take 3hrs to arrival at Ruaha national park checked in and start game view up sunset arrival to your accommodation inside the park for dinner.

DAY 4: GAME VIEW AND DRIVE TO IRINGA

Early morning of this day at 0600 before breakfast you will leave for sunrise game drives which will go on till around 09:00 hours where by your will have breakfast and after breakfast pick up lunch box then proceed with game view at 0130 stop to the picnic for lunchbox and start another game view till 0300hrs you will drive to Iringa at your accommodation arrival for dinner.

DAY 5: DRIVE TO MIKUMI SUNSET GAME VIEW & MAASAI TOUR

Breakfast at 0700am then start drive to Mikumi national park it take 4 hrs drive arrival for short history of Maasai enjoy the traditional dance then after enjoy your lunch at Tanswiss lodge relax for while and if you want ro swimming is your time then at 0930 drive 20 minute to Mikumi gate checked in and start game view up to sunset drive to your accommodation for dinner.

DAY 6:  SUNRISE GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER TO DAR ES SALAAM

Early morning of this day you will leave for sunrise game drives which will go on till around 09:00 hours where by your will have breakfast and after breakfast you will start another game drive till lunch time 0100 drive at your accommodation for hot lunch after start drive back to Dar es salaam.

 

Upon arrival in Dar you will be taken to your hotel/ residence and that will be the end of your 2 days trip with Kumekucha safaris.
